Phewww.... Just finish watching America Idol. This is actually my first time watching it and it is already like the final. haha. so fast. I enjoyed every minute of it. Here's what i think of one of the finalists..
Well, and my personal idol is CARRIE UNDERWOOD! She totally rocked at all the 3 songs she sang. Bo was also quite good.. but i didn't really like his style. Carrie's best song was the 2nd, 'Independence Day', where she sang her specialty, country, it was totally nice! The 2nd best was her 3rd song, 'Angels Brought Me Here', it was very screamy but no so much to the extent of becoming squirky.. the screams were damn power also.. Her not so good song was her 1st song (sth like "set piece") Both finalists had to sing the same song. Both of them weren't really good at that song as it was neither country or rock. Couldn't blame them.
I would describe Carrie's voice as a mix of Diana deGarmo and Kelly Clarkson, it is very very powerful and impactful and loud, like Kelly. It is also very screamy like Diana deGramo but not as squirky as to overshoot the notes. Guess that's one of the best combination you can get when you joining this kind of competition.. If only i had this combination, i could easily win Singapore Idol. haha. All i have is a mix of Kelly Clarkson, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Anastacia.. haha self-bragging again. haha.
I seriously really hope that Carrie will win Amercian Idol and i believe its would be great if she did a duet with Kelly. It would totally rock man! But then if Bo win (most likely), i will also support him as he deserve it also.. i really have to admit that his a great rocker! Nevertheless, i really hope that americans would vote for Carrie as she is a great country singer and also appealing in her looks! =)
