Hi there!
Due to time constraint, i can only share with you abt 20% of what's running through my mind right now. I'm sorry i cannot share with u all at once due to the common test and everything else that's had kept me so busy.. I shall talk abt one of the most important matter that desperately once to get out of this pea size brain of mine.. ;D
English - It was argumentative writing. The paper was relatively easy to me. Not sure abt the rest. I chose the topic "Teenagers lead boring lives". I found it easier to talk abt than the other topic which is abt winning in sports. Being a teengaer myself, i would of coz disagree with the statement.. And i began writing my 4 1/2 pages essay. Many people said i was crazy to write an essay with such a long length. However i believe one has t let his creative ideas develop and be put into the writing. My ideas were quite ok, but my favourite part when i rebuttal my 2 counter arguments.. The reader/marker should be convinced with my essay. yup that's abt all for english. Thinki i'll do quite well but still cannot be that sure.
Math - The paper was quite ok howere some of the questions to me were mind teasers and its really enchances your creativity. I left onu abt 1 1/2 questions which i thought were quite tough after all.. After the test, i found out from my friends that 1 of the question were very easy and it only takes the paper to be rotated around and the problem could be solved. I lost abt 2 marks from it, moreover 1 mark from this paper will be equals to 2 marks in my CA marks. Think i wont do so well in math this time.. Like when did i ever?
Science - I forgot some of my sec 1 geog work whic was tested in science. The question was to esplain hoe does wind energy come indirectly from the sun's energy. In the last desperate 5 min, i answered that wind is formed because of the sun's heat which cause the expansion and contraction of the clouds. i know its stupid, dont laugh.. Other than that question, the rest was pretty fine and nothing to comment abt..
Geog - My favoutrite subject as it just involves a lot of memorising, just like history.. And so i memorised on wed night.. I think i did relatively well for geog and almost all the questions were all right. Those that i didnt know were solved ny mervin, who was seating right beside me. And i helped me in the questions that he was unsure of. All this while, our ditzy chinese teacher was busy staring at his work in front that he hardly life up his head to check on us. The worst think is that he wrote "History" on the board as our subject.. one one corrected him as we were all giggling once in a while.. Until the last 5 min of the paper, he changed the subject and with a embarrassement on his face, he told the class off for not correcting him. so funny.
Chinese - Chinese was easy compared to the last class test which i scored 19/50. That test was very difficult and only 1 person in my class passed. How dumb to set such a paper and no one passes. So this paper was easy however i found that the compre was kind of high level as every questions needed you to share and express your thoughts. It was manageable nevertheless.
I thought the end of the common test signals the end of headaches and fatigueness and back to my 24 h sleep life. But no! I had this whole weekend burned due to the annual esplanade concert and performance at the istana, that is tmr..
On fri straight after the common test, we left class after 2 periods and went for dull-dres rehearsal in the hall with the other aesthetic group. After the wasting time rehearsal, we went for out dinner and we came back at 6. 15 to continue to do out choir practice until 8 pm. The ebv and church choir came to join us to practice with us.. It was quite ok i guess, the sound was very much improved. The church choir was good, they were very expressive in their words. And we got this tee for the istana performance that has 'peace' on it. I think i'll never gonna wear it out of the house ever again. So guhross!
After choir prac i went to my sis honour;s day at toa payoh hub. Took a bus there with jing kang. When i reached the the prize presentation was almost over and the concert soon started. The choir was a total letdown (as expected). The altos were stronger than the sops and the sops ere supportless and their high notes were totally weak and airy. ewww! The best itme was one which was put up by the indonesian scholars. Thye did a song and i traditional dance.. the mves were amazing and their timing was perfect. The cheerleading was funny, the cheerleaders couldnt lift one of the centre gals up and she fell while they were trying to do so. It must be really embarrasing for them.
After the everything ended, we went for refreshment outside and then supper (kway chap) at bishan. The highlight was there clarence and i saw ms thian and wang juinn walking together. What were they doing together and 10 plus in the night?!? I wind down the car window and both of us shouted for them. However a bush came into our sight ans we lost them. We quickly got out of the car and went to search for them.. But they were nowhere to be found. Later my mum said that they must have flagged a taxi immediately to avoid being seen. On sat, she told zheng kai that she spotted me the day before. I told the zheng kai that it was i who spotted her, not the other way round. She was just trying to make things sound to her advantage.. so scandalous.
Today i went to sfx church to practice with the church choir before our istana performance tmr. The prac was ok and it lasted for abt 1 h. I couldnt blast in the open due to the scorching heat. haiz. I introduced myself to lydia, someone from the church choir who was concidentally my sis's fren also. haha. After everything ended, some frens and i went to chomp chomp to have a bite. There aaron started talking abt having to leave us when this year ends and that tmr is the sec 4s lats performance. It stirred up lots of emotions within us and all of us felt a litlle sad. However i told myslef to cherish whatever time i hvae left with them and to enjoy all these moments.
Tmr is the big day, all the best everyone and remembered all the things that mr leong told us. Enhoy yourselves!
*I will not be top in class this term already.. Looking at my english alone, i got only 31 for compre summary while shaun got 36.5.. Its 40% of this ca and thus plays a large part in the marks. After careful calculation, i realised that it may be tight for me to even get an a2. What is this? what happed to me 80 something marks?!? I'm also losing out to some of my classmates in other tests. Izzit they catch up? or i deproved? nvm, i must doubly hard next term in order to achieve my goal. OF coz, last term's result consisted of 50% luck as the components favoured me. I need all the luck and God's blessings that i can get. Shuan will be my secret target for the next term. Lets hope that my other subjects will pull me up..
