Everyone was sitting quietly, waiting for the bus to arrive to take us to Siglap CC for our choir practices. Keith ran over to me and shoved his hp into my sight. In it, i saw my marks for math common test.. Ok so i got a 23/35. I expected more, at least a 25.. Considering that i thought the paper was quite easy. Maybe i was careless and i hope that i'll be able to see my paper soon (which havent been seen by me due to certain uncalled for circumstances) and hopefully i'll be able to argue for a lil' more marks.. But i passed still, not too good though..
Only got back math so far, the teachers have been rather slacky in marking our papers and also these have been a super duper hectic week. I hope i'll get back my other papers next week. So enough for marks and papers..
This past week can be called the most hectic, busy and tiring week of my life. Starting from mon, i stayed back in school till 7 plus to prepare some bookmarks for the school Open House today.. It was a rather stressful day with mr toh chasing hot at my heels. Luckily my frens were there to help me with the IT stuff..
Wed i stayed back till 8 plus to do up the feedback board which was supposed to be placed at the school entrance today. It wasnt at all done up on wed due to the choir prac which took up my whole afternoon.. But still the few of us stayed back and later, in order to reward us, ms S gave us a dinner treat. Only philip and i went as the others already had dinner waiting for them at home.. After dinner, i took a lift from ms S's cab as it was rather late and i still had to study for a home econs test the next day. I fell asleep when i was studying though and did quite badly for the test.
The whole of thu was dedicated to our school's 70th anniversary performance at Neptune.. Our guest of honour was the Prime Minister of Singapore. I wouldnt say what kind of events were held there, you should know. The place was so nice when we first entered but the back stage looked like a haunted mansion. It has rundown and had lots of winding paths. Anyone could tell that the place existed since the 60's.. Our performance was terrible due to the utter disrespect the crowd when the choir were singing. In between songs, loud chatter were being heard and clanking of porcelain plates were transmitted to our eyes. We could hardly hear ourselevs singing. This got partly got to do with the lack of warm ups as the last one that we did was 3h ago and the late nights that i spent trying to prepare for the Open House.. After the performance, the few ppl clapping enthuly were none other than our principal but the Prime Minister were seen going around talking with others. This wasnt a very good sign.. Everyone was demoralised and neither our conductor nor teacher commented on this afterward.. The band was maybe to our certain extent, a lil' better than us this time round.. We left straight after and i reached home at about 11 plus. I bathed, had dinner and gave in to my fatigueness..
Fri was the worst yet challenging day of all. I was extremely tired due to the previous night and i was half dead. I yawned more than 20 times in the morning when helping choir set up the booth f0r Open House. I couldnt sing anything and my voice was going off. Obviously, the tea that i drank in the morning didnt work.. I was emotionally tired and stress and the slightest nudge from my fren could make me jump like i was having a nightmare, it was scary.. I had to juggle choir anf council at the same time, it was a terrible experience.. we had to do some dumb class cleaning of our classroom and everything became a disater.. Next the feedback board that was almost done the, became destryed due to the carelessness in pasting of one of my fellow councillors.. Everything had to be redone. So 3 of us went to Popular in J8 and we didnt get enough creepe paper needed. We had no choice but to take a bus to the next nearest Popular, Thomson Plaza, to get creepe paper. We ate our lunch there too and i felt better. Maybe coz of the food.
The second part was quite ok, everything started to fall in place and we had to the feedback board recovered. At arounf 6 plus, we started doing givlets and our target was 500, but we only managed to acheive 100 plus. I bacame the 'Sotchtape Man' and my main job for the givlets was to cut the sotch tape into small pieces for the rest to wrap up the items into the wrappping paper. I got this job as i sucked at wrapping and took a long time before i finally wrapped one. Ms S said that we should do what we do best and thus i rocked at cutting sotch tape. It was competitive as i had to compete with about 10 ppl who used paper like that were breathing in air, and i only have 2 hands.. Many stupid and silly things happen which brightens up the sunken and tried mood. Like hearing rao speaking english to ms S in that dumb accent, scraming and running along the dark corridor next to the kitchen, climbing out of the school gate to buy materials for our givlets at 9 plus, screaming mariah when coming back to school, feeling the cool breeze of the night blowing across my skin, cracking lame jokes that made ms S laugh and everyone else laugh, hearing her funny insults and etc etc.. Overall i enjoyed myself very much that night and i had to climb the school wall (help given) in order to get out of the school..
The big day arrived after much efforts and screw ups.. The day started off by choir. We were supposed to perform at Open House.. I cpuldnt really sing in the early morning but after the warm ups, i felt better.. Then we were told to gather in music room to wait for out performance turn. That turn never came as we went for lunch and came back and waited somemore. Later mr leong told us that we were dismissed. Maybe it was due to the lack of ppl coming to visit our school.. Everyone was pissed as precious time were just lost, like that..
I went to report to council after that as i had duty as a tour guide. Firstly i went to report to this tablet programme where we were supossed to show the parents how to use the tablet pc and to try our best to promote them.. Due to the sparcity of ppl, i left after 15 min. Ok so the turn out was a flop and the whole school was almost empty.. (to be continued)...
