I spent a whole hour today typing out an entry today and when i tried publishing it, everything went blank and it was gone! so here i am blogging again.. haiz. But hey, blogging is always fun.
Grad Nite was so super fun! well it wasnt mine but the sec 4s.. we arrived at 6 plus and changed into our shirts and we were supposed to like check against everyone (the classes that we were attached to) who came and give them their door gifts. At first it was pretty smooth and slow pace but as it got later, huge packs of sec 4s in all kinds of outrageous (i mean real outregeous) dressings, hairstyles etc.. came and tried to register.. The registration table was like havoc at that time and everyone was like rushing here and there. But soon when everyone was seated, the Oriental Hotel lobby became quiet again..
Then came the Mr. Sophistication.. We were liek supposed to vote from our attched classes who's the few most good looking when the come and register. Well obviously everyone was in such a chaotic state that we almost didnt have time to give the door gifts, much less spot the good lookings.. ok so i voted a few of my frens and also renzie, who wasnt in my class. Later on, 10 of them were selected and they were welcomed on stage to say sth.. Well of coz things were hilarious and cheering was booming. Then in slowly during the nite, the numbers were narowed down to 5, then 3, then finally Mr. Sophistication... and he is RENZIE!!! totally oh my la.. but actually expected him to win since he was one of the best in the top 3.. He was made to dance for the final round and based on his account, he kind of embarrased himself as he continued dancing when the other 2 had stop.. Well, but i guess what's a little embarrasement? He won sound systems from Creative.. and partly its becos of me.. haha! ;)
During the night, there was lucky draws and magic shows and of coz, eating! But the student leaders (myself) didnt get to eat and all we had was to watch them eat the sumptuous food while we munched on peanuts.. poor things right? But we didnt have to pay $65.. There was also a lot of photo taking.. i think philip and i were the only crazy sec 2s who ran around trying to find friends for phtots and we took a whole damn lot of it. But my phone was like so crazy and all the phtots i took were super blurry and unclear, should have took a digital cam along. So i took pictures woth teachers also (only the glam looking ones) and of which one i didnt know at all.. I juts went up to her and said "Can i take a picture with u cos u look so glam today?" and she readily agreed. so funny lol. Well but luckily my fren knows her, so can ask her to send him the picture then he can send me.. Then, my parents and sis came to fetch philip and i as it was raining.. What a night i had! phew..
Well enough abt grad nite, recently i realise that Billy Gilman rocks! You may not heard of him or even know him.. I first heard of him when he sang a duet with Charlotte Church, "Dream a dream" and decided to explore more abt this unknown but promising singer.. And i found out and was immensed in his songs in a couple of hours. And this happened only last fri.. haha. He is a child prodigy like Charlotte and when he was abt 12 yrs old, he released a debut album, "Ove Voice".. Well his voice is like so nice, good, pure, marvelous, pure, angelic, fantastic etc.. (unlike operatic Charlotte) He has many other albums like "Classic Christmas" where all his christmas carols rocks! He sang other duets with Charlotte like "Sleigh Ride" ..
He's now 17 and in 2002, he had to take a 2 yr break due to vocal change(u shld know what is that) and he's back in May 2005. Guess i was a little late to only discover his new album, "Everything and More" only lats fri.. ok, so he definitely sound much more matured (almost like 2 different ppl) but then his voice is still as good, as promising. Although i still prefer his child voice well.. but there u have Billy Gilman! However i dont rememeber seeing his cd anywhere in the music stores of s'pore and gwei also dont remember seeing any.. So we decided to search for his cd when abroad and to buy it back home if found.. hmmm. but maybe daryl's cousin has sth.. dunno la. Anyway on sat night, gwei and i did a super crazy thing. We sent Billy a fan mail interview email thingy.. so fun la. Didnt so this kind of stuff before, not even for britney. Well, my mp3 is also filled with his songs now, noth old and new. Serene is already on her way to aussie land.. gwei is flying off to Canada tmr morning, zkai is gg to Japan in a few days time.. And its like my turn to aussie land on sat nite.. Cant help but to feel the excitment builing up.. havent even started packing leh.. So aussie land, prepare for my grand arrival on sunday morning! oh my =)
I'm feeling fat again! Time to lose some weight before i go to asut. I'll try, but i doubt i succeed.
I may be getting an iPod 10 Gb, 6th generation for this christmas. No gurantee though..
