Its been a week ++ since i'm back from Aust.. So since i promised that i'll blog, i'll blog!
Aust is quite a really nice place for a holiday.. But one thing which i didnt like that was the shops throughout closess at 5 pm. Can u imagine?!? Its like christmas time and in spore orchard is buzzing with life even well into the midnight.. Yup but then the ppl there sure knows how to relax with the beaches and the night recreation (althought there isnt much)..
Bought quite few stuff back.. Not alot but at least i didnt buy junk and did not regret spending my aussie dollars on those stuff. In all, i bought 3 shirts, 1 pair of billabong boradshorts, 1 pair of billabong slippers, 1 quiksilver visor, and lots of other small stuff for presents. Spent about 200 aussie on those..
We spent about 2 days in Gold Coast, talking walks by the nice and cool beaches, shopping and buying groceries, and going to Dreamworld.. Then we started our journey downwards south towards sydney.. We stoped at this small town called Taree for the night and then we continued on to Blue Mountains.. The weather is like fantabulous, even though its summer, the weather is pretty chilly and cooling. A sweater would be suitable for that place. Went to see the 3 Sisters and even managed to touch one of the them.. Pretty cool huh? And the next day, we started off towards sydney..
The 2+ days we had in sydney was quite enjoyeable.. The weather there is much more pleasurable than that in Gold Coast.. Went to see the Sydney bridge and the Opera House (finally!) and then we took a ferry at Darling Harbour over to this island called Manly where is filled with all kinds of shops and ppl going to the beach.. Well we werent really prepared for it so we were quite oddly dressed to be there.. The ferry ride is so enjoying and its really cold when u ride it in the night and the night wind just blows straight into your face and u can feel the chill seeping into your skin! u cant definitely feel that in spore..
We also went to the some market where we bought alot of cheap stuff that sells them alot more expensive at shops.. Bought most of our presents there. Then came the fish market.. The seafood there is super fresh and huge compared to the scrawny lil' ones in sopre.. haha. But the smell there really turns me off. But the giant calamari and king prawns gave me the sastifaction..
After sydney, we drove back up to Gold Coast as we had to return to spore from there. But we stoped at Port Stephens this time.. and this is really a wonderful place. It has lots of beaches and wonderful clear water.. They have this place called Sand Dunes where all you have is beautiful seand all over, almost like the Sahara desert.. haha. So we took this jeep up to one of the steep sand slopes and we sand boarded downhill.. omg! it was super fun and exciting the first few rounds.. But imgaine having to climb up to the peak all over again on sand.. So after about 5 or 6 rounds, everyone was exhausted.. (e.g. 20 secs to sand board down, 5+ min to climb up). yea..
The next day (our last day), we reached our final and first destination, Gold Coast, and we spent the night there.. As it was already 6 plus by the time we arrived, the shops were mostly closed so all we could do was to relax in the motel and get ready for dinner. Then we took our last satisfying dinner, Aussie's Fish and Chips!! and we went for the last round of grocery shopping..
Then it was back to spore.. Arrived here at about 9 plus in the night.. Enjoyed myself very much.. The milkshakes there were nice!! =)
A stressful week of school and church choir..
Have a BLESSED CHRISTMAS everyone.. God Bless! Enjoy your presents too!
