I'm back from Sec 3 Adventure Camp! I survived and CONQUERED Taman Negara! yipeeee!

The 4 day 3 night camp was super fun.. From the exciting stuff like the rapid shooting., to the challenging 50 plus km cycling trip.. and to the all the scandalous lil stuff that occured during the camp. This trip has indeed opened me up to many once in a lifetime oppunities..

I felt that the camp was a lil too short as half of the time were spent on travelling (literally). such a waste of time.. It would be better if it extended one more day..

The most challenging activity would be the 54 km cycling (well 5o plus since no one in our grp completed due to the heavy downpour).. I actually enjoyed myself but was super duper tired.. Never in my life have i cycled for such a long distance and with so many huge upslopes (to our dismay) and downslopes (to our delight). Suffered a major cramp on the way and had to be taken to the rest point on the ambulance!?!? Unfortunately, many others already had cramps after the 1st/2nd rest point and had to be driven around for the rest of the journey.. How wasted. The weather was super hot blazing and many suffered serious sunburns and soon their skins turned lobster red. **But i didnt!!! Clever me dunked tons and tons of sunblock after every 15 mins** haha.. I was always on of the last few that reached the rest points.. But hey slow and steady wins the race..

The trekking up the nature park was okay except that it was 100 times steeper and difficult than bikit timah (ok, thats not even challenging but whatever).. So yea my legs were extremely tired after that.. We learnt abt some trees and their uses. But the view at the submit was worth the climbing (although i wont really say that the view was that magnificent)

The rapid shooting was exciting yet relaxing.. First we sat on this fast boat and got all wet as we splashed the water around (forgive me for my poor english). Then we went to the the bottom of a hidden waterfall and soaked ourselves in the water spring.. It felt jut like spa! Excpet that we were lying on rocks and it was natural. We were left to just played around and some played water fight while others simply soaked up in the ambience. The guides were friendly and nice..We also discovered coloured stones that was used buy the villages in the past as mascara.. How interesting huh..

We slept in tents beside the 'milk' river.. That village is like a dead town which all around are deserted broken down attap houses with maybe only a few still intact and in use.. Well thats pahang for you.. Undeveloped.. and everywhere is vegetation with a few attap house on the way and a small village.. The 'city' part of pahang is housed some shophouses, main roads and a few more 'higher class' attap houses.. yea. So i slept with daryl and philip and omg, both just kept squashing into me when we slept. Another grp joined us the 2nd night and the place became like super crowded and everyone was having social gatherings.. The place there also had this dung smelling stench everywhere.. so annoying.

The food was pretty good except that my grp kept going back to this 'floating' restaurant on the river that was near the campsite.. The family buisness kept a CAT there! Whats more it was pregnant! and it wasnt afraid of humans! omg! i was like avoiding the cat all the way and i dreaded meal times for those 2 days.. I even skipped a lunch cos of the freaking cat.. The cat was so frreaky looking and when it stares at you, those eyes.... eww.. u wouldnt understand my disgust unless u hate cats too.

We went threre by coach and the whole arduous journey took almost 10 hours. We left spore about 9 30 in the morn and reach there at 7 in the eveving, when the sun has set.. But of cos, the bus ride was super fun.. scandalising and stuff. Right philip? The ride back was by the night train.. We boarded the train on mon 2 30 am and reach spore in the noon.. Well the train was rather run down but yea other than that it was alright. It had a cafe but long queue of customers were lining up to fill their emtpy stomachs so i decided not to join them.. Woke up at 8 plus and time past incedibly fast.. Sth embarassing happened during the train ride.. I forgot to lock the toilet door and when the train jerked (it always does) and the door flunked open.. (the rest is up to u to guess).. It was also quite nosiy and the linakge between cabins were dangerous..

Shallnt coment much about the teachers.. Excpet that my 2 teachers, 1 male 1 female slept in the same tent with the whole row of bags placed in between them. hmm... Another teacher was just a good-for-nothing-but-trouble. ( i shall stop here and not go on abt that teacher). The rest of the teachers were pretty sporty and supportive. Saw a different side of the teachers..

Ok enough abt the camp.. The wonderful memories really touched my heart and i'll remember it forever. I'm so glad i went for this camp and truly enjoyed myelf and benefited from it.. u know whats werid? when we'll there, everyone wished that the camp would end quickly and we would be back home with our comfortable bed and everything.. But after i came back, deep down inside me i hoped i was still with my friends in taman negara, doing challengings activities and just simply having fun.. I guess that's the way it is..

Work hard during this hols and make use of the time u have.. esp if u havent done well in the past killer mid years (like me) and brushed up on your studies..

I failed 3 subjects this semester.. Physics and both math and amath.. Well achieved a class position of 4 and lvl position of 86.. This is due to the fact that i passed english by like 1 mark?!? Well yea once english is cleared, guaranteed top 20%.. so lucky me.. even though some ppl did better than me overall, but their position got lower than we cos of the english.. English always comes first.. I scored a no. of A2s and B4s and a lot of Cs.. I didnt get a A1 unfortunately.. My lit combined scored for term 1 and 2 was like 74?!?! 1 more mark to my A1!!! damn!!! Poor shaun, who got 74.9... Why didnt they round it off and spared so many others they agony..

well anyways Happy Holidays everyone! God Bless!
